Creating a free space for social integration
From the beginning of its development Camphill Ballybay hoped to open its doors to the wider community around, but the hall was not big enough to invite guests as long as the weavery equipment was taking up space there. Since the new extension was built, however, with the help of a substantial loan from Camphill Foundation, the long-held wish of Ballybay community has come true. It is now possible to invite many friends, neighbours and others from the locality to take part in festivals and celebrations and attend talks, plays and concerts etc. and to use the hall for a number of adult education activities.
