This kindness goes a long way in supporting the Camphill Communities and the gratitude we experience from those on the receiving end is unbounded. Your legacy
Gifts in Wills play an important role in supporting Camphill and it is an honour for us to receive them. For more information on how to leave a legacy in your Will please contact your solicitor who will be able to guide you through the process and explain the different options available.
What happens to my donation or legacy?
The work done by the directors and trustees is done on a voluntary basis only. Operating expenses therefore are very low and include things such as advertising, marketing, accommodation & travel expenses. The remaining funds are used solely to benefit Camphill.
By donating to Camphill via the Foundation you are donating to Camphill in the UK and Ireland as a whole and not to a specific community or project.

We cannot emphasise enough how much your donations and legacies are appreciated. Thank you for making a difference to the lives of those in the communities we support. We help assist the communities to help themselves with projects which further the values of Camphill.
What does your donation do?
A donation of £10
can help to cover the cost of essential items of specialist equipment to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities, or as part of a larger project it could help to pay for the many fixtures and fittings that are needed to put the finishing touches to new accommodation.
A donation of £25
can help towards the cost of important equipment for education. Ochil Tower, an independent residential school for children and young people with additional support needs, based in Perthshire, were able to purchase some IT equipment for their Life Skills Centre – a facility for young adults aged 18 – 21 to help them prepare for living an independent adult life.
A donation of £50
can help towards equipping a craft workshop where people with learning disabilities can gain workplace experience and training opportunities to acquire important practical and creative skills. Lansdown Pottery, Stroud, acquired a kiln.
A donation of £100
would help towards the cost of setting up a social enterprise for communities such as Gullivers Farm Shop, part of the Camphill Community Sturts Farm near Bournemouth, which provides meaningful work and training opportunities for adults who have a learning disability or other support needs.
A donation of £150
would help towards the cost of a tractor, a vital piece of equipment for farming communities such as Corbenic Camphill Community in Perthshire and Camphill Devon at Buckfastleigh, where people with learning disabilities enjoy very fulfilling work on the farm.
A donation of £250
would help towards the cost of a conference such as the Youth Conference held at Newton Dee Camphill Community in May 2023 – an important event to inspire and involve young people in the Camphill movement and an opportunity to discuss important issues such as challenges that communities face and adapting for the future.
A donation of £500
can help kick-start a project and encourage investment from other parties. Seed-funding is required for projects in their infancy and pays for work such as architectural designs for new buildings. As example of this is the development of a purpose-built day centre in Harom Galamb in Romania – their objective being to create a day service provision for young adults with learning disabilities where they can carry out meaningful work and gain valuable work experience.
A donation of £1,000
would help towards creating a community garden which gives individuals the opportunity to care for and be responsible for nature and their environment and allows them to gain new skills through the daily garden work. The Homefield Garden project at Esk Valley Camphill Community provides fresh biodynamic produce which is also sold through a local health shop.
A donation of £5,000
would help towards the cost of building and equipping a new house to provide accommodation and community life for children or adults with learning disabilities. In adult communities, this could also include facilities for semi-independent living and extra care. An example of this is Pond House at The Mount Camphill Community.
A donation of £10,000
could help towards improving the green credentials of a community such as removing carbon emissions from community vehicles by transitioning to electric vehicles where possible. Over the last 5 years, Esk Valley Camphill Community have been replacing their petrol / diesel run vehicles and now have 5 vehicles and 1 scooter in their electric scheme. They currently only have one charging point within the community and an essential step in achieving their goal is to increase the number of charging points to 5.
